The seasons are starting to shift to fall in the north country. We had an all day rain yesterday for the first time in recent memory. It rained again at night and on and off this morning. Temps dropped to the low sixties for a high, but they are predicting eighty for Tuesday! I don't think we are ready to completely give up on summer just yet.
The leaves are starting to turn a little here and there, but it's hard to tell if its because of fall color or from being stressed out due to the lack of rain all summer.
I'm going to have to check the streams to see if the rain triggered the salmon run yet. They have been staging at the river mouths for the last two weeks.
