Tuesday and the Sun is Back!!

We had huge crowds here for the Labor Day weekend and the weather was rainy and CCCOOLLLLLDDDDD!! Now that everyone went back to work and school the sun came out and the temperatures are going to the high seventies by mid-week!

The carpenters showed for work this morning, but at 7:25 instead of 6:45. We could see our breath since the temps were so cool. They will be finished with all of the exterior work today. We are hoping to see them one more day to pack up all the equipment and left over material. Now we wait for drywall to get finished and we start priming and laying floors!!

Here are some pictures from the weekend....(look closely and see if this is really a most beautiful place)
A view from Alligator Hill Trail looking northwest at South Manitou Island and the north edge of the sand dunes.

Lake Michigan and Sleeping Bear Bay looking towards Homestead Resort.

Alligator Hill Trail northwest of Glen Arbor.

A sail boat regatta on Big Glen Lake.

The clouds rolled in on Sunday. Temps in the sixties. Temps on Monday went no higher than 54 degrees!

D. H. Day farm across from the dune climb.

Another view of the farm.

The guys are putting finishing touches on the front porch. It's going to be awfully quiet around here now that they are finished on the exterior!
