1-31 St George Island

Lots of rain last night and part of the morning, but the temps stayed in the forties overnight and got to sixty today. We left Ft Pickens National Lakeshore on Santa Rosa Island and arrived at St George Island State Park at around three in the afternoon. We came back to eastern standard time in the process. WOW has this area changed since we brought the kids here twenty years ago! Lots of beach houses and development. Luckily the state park is still the same and very natural and quiet. Unfortunately my wireless signal is very poor here at camp so I am going to download pictures when I get a better signal.

Stay tuned for more!

Love to all.

Finally, here are some pictures from St George Island...

A view of the beach along the Gulf. Its so great that some of these areas are being saved from the developers!

These are some of the local  residents. Looks like they are waiting for the next boat.

Look closely (click to enlarge), and you can see all the shells that lined some areas of this beach.

The end of another day.
