Great Day Today, We hit 70!!

We had a great day today riding our bikes into San Antonio. It's about five miles in along the river trail which is paved all the way and very scenic. We rode and walked in the downtown area and had lunch at Rita's on the riverwalk. Good Mexican food and good margaritas!
After lunch we visited the Alamo. A short film tells about the history of the Alamo and how it was an old Spanish mission before it was used by the military during our fight against Mexico for the acquisition of the Texas territory.
Later we rode back to the campground along the river and then sat in the hot tub before having dinner. What a great day!
Here are some pictures from today...

I took a couple of pictures of our new living space for the winter.

This is the kitchen.

And the dining room. I will get the upstairs for you tomorrow.

Coming into town along the river trail.

The courthouse downtown. They still had Christmas decoration up in town.

Nancy walking the bike along the Riverwalk. They drew down the water to do some cleaning. They do this every couple of years to keep the canals looking good.

We saw these fish hanging from one of the overpasses on the Riverwalk.

A horse drawn carriage in town. (We didn't go).

Posing in front of the Alamo.

A better picture of the front of the Alamo.

A memorial to the two hundred men who fought the Mexican army and died to save Texas.

Another view.

Back at the campground for cocktails and the hot tub.
